The
name was derived from the location
of the park on the bank of Dubai
Creek. The foundation of the park
was due to the policy of Dubai Municipality
to expand the green land in the
city and to provide the residents
and tourists with recreational places
enabling them to spend enjoyable
times away from the stress of work.
Reflects
a green colour, the park creating
a splendid harmony with the blue
water of the creek, the clear sky
of Dubai and the greenery of the
Creek Club known for its deep-rooted
sails in the sea of history. All
these features amalgamate gradually
with the high buildings that distinguish
the palpitating heart of the bustling
city center.
Dubai
Creek Park, occupying more than
96 hectare large, costing more than
106 million Dirhams, is considered
the second largest park in Dubai
following Mushrif Park. Nevertheless,
it is recognized by its modern equipment
and is distinctive due to its strategic
location in the heart of the City
and it was opened in 1994.
The
park includes many unique recreational
areas, and has three helicopter
landing pads, a first aid room,
a communication center and water
coolers.
